Cindy Mataraso, PsyD

Cindy Mataraso, PsyD has been affiliated with A Step Forward for 17 years. Her specialty is treating men with sexual behavior problems with developmental disabilities and serious mental illness as well as helping individuals and small groups to manage inappropriate sexual expression. She has specialized training in trauma informed care and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She conducts sexual risk assessments for Child and Family Services, Probation, and representatives of the legal system. Dr. Mataraso is the administrator of acute care programs for the mentally ill and works with a major behavioral health provider in California. She has been recognized as an innovative developer of strength based treatment programs and enjoys working with others to create meaning and opportunities for effective living.
